General

Preferences settings
Configure how Realm works for you:
  • Color theme: Choose the color theme for the Realm interface.
  • Default Assistant: Select the agent that is selected by default when you open Realm.
  • Open Slack messages in the app: Control how Slack messages are opened.
  • Chrome Extension: Redirect new tabs to your Realm workspace (Recommended).
  • User Instructions: Add custom instructions included in the system prompt for your conversations. This can be useful if you want to provide extra context about your role, work, and style.

Personal integrations

Personal integrations
Connect your personal accounts to enhance Realm’s capabilities:

Google Drive

Sync files from your personal My Drive to Realm. Document permissions are preserved, so anyone who already has access to a file in Google Drive will also be able to find it in Realm.

GitHub

If your GitHub account does not have a verified email matching your Realm account, this connection allows Realm to associate the accounts so GitHub content can appear in your results.

Slack

Connect your Slack account to access data from private channels and messages you have access to.

API keys

Realm provides REST APIs for using agents and managing documents from your own applications. Navigate to Settings > API Keys to create and manage your keys.
By default, only admins can create API keys. If you need access, ask your Realm admin to enable API key creation for all users in the workspace settings.

Creating a key

Creating an API key
Click Create New Key and give the key a descriptive name (e.g. “CRM Integration”). Choose an expiration date, or select “Never” if the key should not expire. You can control which agents the key has access to. After clicking Create Key, copy it immediately and store it in a safe place. You will not be able to view it again. If you lose it, you will need to create a new key.

Managing keys

Each key shows its name, created date, last used date, and expiration status. For each key, you can edit, regenerate, or delete it. For the full list of endpoints, see the API Reference.

Admin settings

Admins have access to organization-wide controls including user management, data sources, security settings, and usage analytics.
Admin capabilities include:
  • User Management: Adding or removing users from the organization.
  • Data sources: Connecting and managing company-wide data sources.
  • Organization-wide Settings: Configuring security settings like login methods (SAML), default behaviors, and managing available AI models.
  • Usage Analytics: Viewing reports on how the platform is being used.
